Iron Oaks Winery Hosts Ten Four Goods

If you haven’t been to Iron Oaks Winery in downtown Paso Robles, CA, put it on your “must go to” list. This family owned winery first landed on my radar when my husband and his band played a gig inside of this amazingly fun spot. What makes this place cool is that you immediately feel at home when you step through the front door.

The owner, Doug, is like that fun brother that you haven’t seen in years. Doug is larger than life and it’s clear that his friendly social skills and sense of humor have helped propel his business in a crowded field of downtown wineries. I suppose it doesn’t hurt that Iron Oaks wines are excellent and the rotating food options (from wood fired pizza to juicy burgers) are delicious!

When I approached Doug to ask about doing some craft classes, he said “yes” before I could get my first sentence out. I’m so grateful to him for welcoming me and our crafting participants into his business. We’re going to have a great time making 4th of July-themed wood decor “firecrackers”. We’ll be sanding wood, painting, gluing, ribbon-ing (is that a word?), blinging, and having a great time in this fun and social class that is planned for May 19 and June 2. Check out the Make & Take page for more details and I hope to see you there!
